An Arts Finale to Close the Year

On Wednesday, May 24, the Foxcroft community gathered in the Audrey Bruce Currier Library for a musical treat — a music concert performed by several student musicians and vocalists — before the highly anticipated Senior Slideshow. Before the music began, however, Head of School Cathy McGehee and Fine Arts teacher Karin Thorndike had an exciting announcement to share: freshman Bronte B.'s artwork titled "Fox and Holly" was selected as a winner in the Southern Teachers Agency Student Art Contest and is aptly featured in the month of December in the 2023 Southern Teachers calendar! Congrats, Bronte!

Video of each performance from the concert is available here. Well done to performers Marley F. ’24, Moriah F. ’24, Sofia K. ’26, and Kuiper S. ’23, as well as their teachers, for all their hard work!

We are also excited to share a first look at the Video Production and Video Production II classes' short film Radio Silence, which was produced, filmed, and edited by students this semester. From filmmakers to musicians to fine artists, the students at Foxcroft are exploring their unique voices through the arts in wonderful ways.
